About EcoTeff

Our Story

EcoTeff was born out of a passion for healthy, sustainable food. As founders, we discovered the unique properties of teff while traveling through Ethiopia and were immediately hooked. We saw the potential to make this superfood accessible to people outside Ethiopia while supporting local farmers.

What is teff?

Teff is a nutrient-rich ancient grain from Ethiopia that has been cultivated for thousands of years. It is characterized by its high content of protein, fiber, iron and calcium. Teff is naturally gluten-free and is therefore ideal for people with gluten intolerance. The mild, nutty taste makes teff a versatile ingredient in modern cuisine.

Our cultivation

We work closely with Ethiopian farmers to grow teff sustainably and fairly. Our partner farmers rely on traditional cultivation methods that protect the soil and preserve biodiversity. Through fair payment and long-term partnerships, we contribute to improving living conditions in the growing regions.
